Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Women's Wilderness Snowshoe:

I spent a good part of last winter trying out different brands of snowshoes. As soon as I put on my friends' Tubbs, I was hooked. Then it was up to me to find the right fit for me. I spent a long time researching online and decided on the women's wilderness snowshoe. I bought them at the end of the season and had to wait to use them! That was the hardest part. These snowshoes are truly an awesome product. They are SUPER easy to get on and off. The only minor drawback is my foot is too short to use the lift bar. I wanted to try it out on some steep inclines this winter and my foot didn't reach the lift bar. I bet if I fooled around with where I placed my foot on the snowshoe that I could get it to work. Other than that, these shoes are great. I also noticed that my foot claws didn't gather as much ice as my friends' snowshoes. I'd highly recommend these snowshoes to beginners to experts.

I was looking for a more advanced snowshoe for my girlfriend. I was looking for durability, a good binding and a decent pivot. These fit the bill. She thought they were stylish too.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Women's Wilderness Snowshoe:

LOVE these snowshoes!! They are so light weight, stable and easy to use, they just tend to disappear under your feet.

The bindings are super easy to put on and take off with just one hand and need no further adjustment once they're set to your boots. Plus, they eliminate the dreaded sidewise creep/twist inherent in lower cost bindings, keeping the snowshoes pointed straight ahead at all times so you're not constantly stepping on yourself. The heel straps are a bit flimsy and the ends refuse to stay in the keepers, but they never seem to work loose or slide down.

The Easy Step rockered frame shape makes for easy, natural strides and great snow shedding, but the widest point in the front is about 3/4" wider than my other shoes which took some getting used to. I also ended up getting whacked in the shins a couple of times when stepping over stuff.

The color is a little subdued for my tastes (I much prefer the Romp to Stomp edition colors), but all-in-all I am THRILLED with these shoes!

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Women's Wilderness Snowshoe:

This pair is the same as the official Romp to Stomp Wilderness snowshoes, only the color is different. These are a pale champagne pink/tan, very nuetral and stylish, and not too pink in case that matters to you. I also have the Romp to Stomp pair which is crisp white and hot pink. Both pairs are fabulously comfortable and all around performers with the exact same features. I am a beginner but I like to go everywhere and I haven't yet been hindered by these snowshoes. Super comfortable, quiet, light weight, good bindings. I did a lot of research before buying my first pair of snowshoes and I am very happy that I decided on these. Nicely done Tubbs!

I absolutely love how easy these snowshoes are to take on and off. While at the Romp to Stop in Frisco this year, I was putting my shoes on and taking them off with one hand. The straps are easily adjustable and stay snug while in use. While my friends were fumbling with numerous straps and hard to lock buckles, I was enjoying my coffee and singing along to the live band!
