Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Women's Frontier Snowshoe:

Bought these new for this past season.....DISAPPOINTMENT ran deep. If I could I would return......I live in cold New England and whenever ANY ice or snow got in or under the binding ...they would not lock securely......I also own an older pair of the Tubbs explorers and have never ever had that problem with them....I have been snowshoeing for over 15 years and with these new Tubbs...I have never ever been so frustrated on the trail....".as I was this this year. Love the easy on and off...but ....them falling off...OVER AND OVER. Again....was crazy......for the record- tho....dubbing around home with them ..this did not happen...but these bindings are worthless out in the extreme cold and ice....sorry Tubbs...please fix !

    Great, slim profile

    Pros

    • Lightweight

    Cons

    • Loose Straps
    • Poor Traction

    Best Uses

    • Deep Snow
    • Flat Terrain

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Women's Frontier Snowshoe:

These are great snowshoes- really slim profile makes them great for traveling on narrow trails, and keeps you from tripping yourself while stepping on them. Also makes them great for running. I like how short the 21's are- they provide good buoyancy, but minimal "flip-flopping" while running. Ideal for deeper snow and moderate terrain. Crampons weren't quite enough for steeper, icy slopes

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Women's Frontier Snowshoe:

My husband bought me these snow shoes as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, every time we have went snowshoeing the shoe binding becomes loose and snow shoe falls off. We have tried everything from watching the video, to different boots. We went to return the snowshoes to the retailer and they would not refund or exchange the shoes.
It has been an overall disappointing experience. I am going to now reach out to you Tubbs for an exchange as my husband has 4 different pairs of Tubbs snowshoes and still believes in your product.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Women's Frontier Snowshoe:

This is my second season of wearing my Tubbs. They are still in super good shape. I live in MN where the snow is deep and the temps are cold. I snowshoe about 4 times a week. Only complaint is that the green tab doesn't hold the excess straps and now I feel like they loosen up. Is it a defect?

Little green tabs which hold the excess straps seem to be streached; they do not hold the excess straps. Snowshoes were new so I think it is a manufacturer defect. Not sure what to do to hold excess straps from dragging on the ground.
