Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's Xplore Snowshoe:

I received these as a gift in 2012, and these snowshoes have possibly the worst set up for bindings I've ever seen. They never stay tight, work loose within a couple steps and get caught on the webbing of the snowshoe body. I'm left to bringing a role of hockey tape with me every time I use them in order to keep them on my feet. I use my old fashioned beaver tail wooden snowshoes 9/10 times.

Tubbs IMO is at the top of the food chain . They make a great product . I have two sets of thier shoes (one expensive pair and one ,more inexpensive pair ) . I will probably continue to buy only thier shoes and gear due to quality. I own 5 pairs of shoes total , and the Tubbs are the best.

for MN. we didn't have as much snow as usual. These shoes worked awesome through the cattails buried in the snow. They were great in the woods thanks to fit. they were like part of my foot.

I have only had these snowshoes for a while but so far they have been amazing.... I love them. The binding stays tight if worn properly and keeps your foot in the right position with the control wings. These in my opinion are perfect snowshoes for a recreational snowshoer like myself.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's Xplore Snowshoe:

Never used snowshoes before and when I strapped these on for my first outing, I had a great time.
Used the snowshoes to hike slighlty uphill for about 3/4 mile over mostly already tracked snow through the woods. No problem. Arrived at the base of a steep slope and began moving upwards with no hesitation on the fresh poweder, but as I got higher up the powder became more compact and not as fluffy. Going straight up the mountain became more challenging and required me exert more effort to securly plant my shoes uphill. If there were side spikes/rails it would have been easier to ascend the steep slope, but this particular model of snow shoes wasn't designed for what I was trying to do. However, despite that fact, the snowshoes did great. On the way back down the shoes did well, however it would have been nice to have spikes/rails towards the rear to help prevent you for sliping and or "skiing" about 3 feet everytime you try to plant your foot. Once back down at base of slope, took an untrekked trail the 3/4 of a mile back to the car. The snowshoes did great floating on top of the snow and made it a breeze to walk through the backwoods.
Overall, great experience thanks to a great
