I purchased these for myself and a pair of the women's design for my wife about a month ago. So far we love them. These are our first snowshoes. We should have purchased some years ago. We use them for fitness and day hikes in the state lands and forests near our home in central NY. The terrain is rolling hills. We haven't tried them on anything very steep yet. We use them just about every day. The snow has ranged from packed to about a foot of powder and we've had no problems. The bindings are about as easy to use as they could be. We just adjusted them to our hiking boots and haven't adjusted them since. There was no learning curve as far as using them, just strap them on and start walking. I chose these shoes because the Tubbs website recommended them for the use I anticipated giving them, because the bindings looked easy to use and very functional, and because some friends had purchased Tubbs Ventures a few weeks before and recommended them. The only thing I don't like about the shoes is that they are a little noisy on hard snow. Unless there are durability issues that haven't shown themselves yet I highly recommend these snowshoes.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX NRG Snowshoe:
Works great for an all around durable snowshoe, my only complaint is that they will have a tougher time going through deep powder, but they handle anything under foot of snow great. I also wish they would put the same binding on the Flex NRG that they use on the Flex Alp, The Alp binding looks a little nicer.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX NRG Snowshoe:
I use these shoes in light snow and broken trails. They are so much easier to walk in than my 36" shoes once the trail is broken down. I use them with size 11 pack boots and the bindings are a little snug but are very easy on and off. They are great for up and down steep hills. I have had them for about a month

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX NRG Snowshoe:
Finally got some snow. Have used these flex NRG snowshoes twice now in 5" of fresh power and on semi packed trails. These shoes let you walk with your natural stride. I was walking at 108 steps per minute on the back semi packed trails. Only 3 steps less than my summer walk on dry pavement!!!Got my 5 and 1/2 mile walk in 2hr and 15 min. only about 15 min. longer than when no snow. Want to jog. No problem. No crossing over and stepping on your other shoe. Sold my aluminum framed shoes. You will not be disappointed. Easy off with this binding. Matter of seconds. Takes me a slightly longer to put them on. I am 65 and not as limber as I used to be. You may want to wear gators. After my walks I had snow about 10" up on my legs.
