Description

The completely-redesigned Glacier snowshoe is sure to please “tweeners” headed on adventures with the family. The QuickLock2™ binding locks easily and stays snug around the boot providing security and comfort. Because kids deserve the same ergonomic benefits as adults, we added our popular Fit-Step™ frame. For fast-moving kids playing in the snow, we improved the Glacier with a tighter frame shape to accommodate kids’ narrower stance and a fixed toe cord to help the snowshoes stay close to the foot. With trademark Tubbs technology and comfort, this is one snowshoe designed to keep your kids outside and active all winter long!

Really nice snowshoes!

By Andy the PE Teacher

from Anchorage, Alaska

Pros

  • Easy to put on
  • Great Size For Children

Cons

  • Hard To Use Heel Straps

Best Uses

  • Flat Terrain
  • Slow Hikes

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Glacier Snowshoe:

A great snowshoe for short hikes with children. heel strap can be a bit hard to put on tight enough when it is cold outside. Tend to slip off the heel if not tight on uneven ground. Lightweight design made them effortless to walk with. These snowshoes were given as a gift from Tubbs to my school and the students were very quick to learn how to put them on as well as use them hiking. A very simple shoe for beginners, but rugged enough for some more advanced use as well.

Excellent, versatile snowshoe!

By Sacramento Inner City Outings

Pros

  • Fits Large Range Of Peopl
  • Slim profile
  • Solid Grip On Icy Terrain

Cons

    Best Uses

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Glacier Snowshoe:

The Glacier snowshoes we have are slightly different than the ones pictured here (bindings are the more conventional nylon strap-type). We love these! For a group, they are very versatile in the types of folks they fit- everyone from 8 year olds to adult women. They have a nice, small profile which minimizes the chance of tripping yourself, even for beginners. Our kids were able to run around in these, easily kneel down to make snowballs and then pop up again to throw them. Our adult women loved them too- they have a solid grip, even on icy snow, provide good buoyancy, and and allowed for aggressive exploring (e.g. climbing up and down steep slopes and boulders).

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Glacier Snowshoe:

Also used the alp snowshoe which is great for up hills but these work for what I do. It is just in-convent to keep adjusting the back strap to keep tight.

They were the ones that seemed to work best when I made my purchase.
