These snowshoes are perfect for traipsing and exploring the many areas around Western Newfoundland. I've used these about a dozen times this winter already and they're excellent. Prior to these snowshoes, I used the old fashion kind for many years and there is no comparison. These snowshoes support your weight better; their lighter and never clog up with snow.

These are my first pair of Tubbs snowshoes and I've got to say I am impressed with the quality , durabilty , and lightweight construction of these shoes. We use our journey snowshoes on regularly traveled trails and sometimes the occasional off trail trek, these shoes are good for both. With a wide bed and good tooth I can trek across deep snow and packed snow with little effort. At the end of a day of hiking these bindings release fairly easily , which I think is important, after many miles of snowshoeing , I am too tired to fight with bindings.I would recommend these Journey snowshoes to the casual hiker or hardcore trekker.

I am so excited to wear my new Men's Journey 25 snowshoes at the Colorado Romp to Stomp event this weekend. I have used this model for several months and am eager to support a great company that sponsors a great event to benifit Breast Cancer causes. After using several competitor brands, I am very satisfied with the overall benifits of this model. They have just the right feel and grip to take whereever I play. The binding fits well and is easy to get on/off during trail breaks. You can't go wrong with Tubbs!

After many years of snowshoeing I have retired my 10 x 56 traditional for a pair of Tubbs Journey cross countrys. A recent new right hip found me in need of shoes with more flex (less joint stress) and better grip as icey conditions here in Alaska are quite common, to mitigate the risk of falling. I really like the binding as it is more supportive and also allows me to more easily strap on and off without bending excessivly at the hip and waist which could cause a dislocation. I have been using the shoes for my physical therapy and would never consider going back to my old shoes which are more jarring and much less manuverable in tight spots. Today I found myself in just one of those spots where I was confronted by a fallen spruce. I easily climbed upon and over the snow covered branches and proceded safely on my way. My only complaint, however trivial, is I noticed the aluminum frame has no wear pads to prevent the tail section from scratching badly into the metal as it comes in contact with the occasional uncovered surface of asphalt or concrete parking lots. A [$] snowshoe deserves good care and this is an obvious lack of detail from a design standpoint.
