Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX TRK Snowshoe:
I received a set of the Flex TRK's for Christmas, and they are fantastic! My old snowshoes can't even begin to compare. The Flex TRK's lightweight with great traction, and I recommend them highly.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX TRK Snowshoe:
First pair of snow shoes I've purchased. Great product. My primary use is on groomed trails and they work excellent. Not recommended for deep snow as they become unstable and lose flotation.

I Bought these for forestry work in northern Wisonsin. They sink quite deep in powder. I definitely need more flotation.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX TRK Snowshoe:
Cruise several miles every day with my collies regardless of weather and snow/ice/slush underfoot and regardless of depth. Our route takes us over frozen lakes with bare ice or mounds of powder or packed snow drifts, up and down steep banks, and through thick swamp grasses and tangled brush. Back on the trail with dogs on their leashes, the light weight, compact design, and flexibility accommodate any unexpected distractions pulling my companions in opposite directions and me on the ground. Finally, strapping them on and taking them off are one-two-three operations; very much appreciated. They appear as new as the first day I put them on.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX TRK Snowshoe:
I used the shoes to hike into our camp when our drive is snow covered. My first time, I was surprised with the ease that I was able to walk to our camp. It was minus 27 degrees and the wind was blowing about 25 mph right into my face. The snow was about 2 1/2 feet deep and some drifts were as much as 4 feet. I made it to our camp without a hitch and in short time. It was a little tricky the first time securing them to my feet , but I think only because I'm a beginner and my hands were cold.

I have used my Flex Trk snowshoes for 2 years on beginner to intermediate trails in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and love the traction and how lightweight and comfortable they are.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX TRK Snowshoe:
I take snowshoes as my partner likes skiing and I dont. Mountain trails are easy in all conditons with these very portable shoes. Deep powder is a challenge for them especially in slight thaw and expect up to 8 inches depth before stopping (worse case). The front grips that hinge with the foot make icy hillclimbing easier but it is possible to go up slopes you cant then get down! Good performace on frozen water on the path. Very pleased overall. Wishlist- a waterproof rucksack that will contain these shoes and a couple of other bits without being bigger than me!
My previous shoes were second hand glass fibe and webbing ex british army im told. These shoes outperform them everywhere except deep powder. Tubs flex fastenings are simple and secure by comparison.

Comments about Tubbs Snowshoes Men's FLEX TRK Snowshoe:
This is my very first time on snowshoes and we got 20 inches of that wet snow. Shoes were pretty easy on and off. Came out of the heel once.
I sank in to the snow more than I expected. Seems like there could be more flotation in front of the toe. That space is large. Or perhaps I need to go to a 30 inch pair.

Merchant response: This shoe is designed primarily for hardpack/icy conditions. We recommend a larger and more traditional aluminum framed snowshoe for powder conditions.
